		<description>1) An X is only used to signify possible deployments vs actual deployments. You can have a XAMP package but not a XAMP server.

2) The A is always assumed to be the Apache server. (See #6)

3) LAMP originated with open source so preference goes to open-source. The M should always be assumed to be MySQL.

4) LAMP, WIMP, etc refer to server setups, and a JavaScript app is just an app, not a server, so it doesn&#039;t get a cool acronym.

5) If we need more distinctions, we can start using a second, lower-case letter for clarification. E.g., LAMsP for MS-SQL.

6) If you had a Linux apache server running Postgres with PHP it would simply be LAPP because the letters always represent OS-Server-Db-Language, in that order.</description>
